Sports Performance Care
Ever wondered why you finished recovering and rehabbing from an injury, but never felt the same as before? Maybe you are currently injured and are wondering how you are going to get back or wonder if it is even possible to be even better than before?
There are over 600 different muscles in the body that your brain controls every time you move. If you have had a sprain, strain, surgery, fracture or trauma to a body part, it affects the ability for your brain to optimally communicate with the muscles in the injured area.
Dr. Dobrucky uses a series of specific muscle tests and neurological exams to identify imbalances and follows with multiple different therapies to restore the brain to muscle connection. This can be beneficial for active people and athletes who have experienced acute injury or chronic pain and want to get back to peak performance.
Nasal Release Technique
Nasal Release Technique (NRT), also known as Cranial Facial Technique or Endo Cranial Technique, is helpful for those currently experiencing or with a history of concussion, cranial trauma, traumatic birth, breathing issues, TMJ Dysfunction, migraines/headaches, vertigo, and oral development dysfunction in order to enhance recovery.
If you have an experience listed above, your cranial and facial bones surrounding your brain and brain stem may have dysfunctional movement. NRT involves inserting a specific inflatable medical device into the nasal passages to target impactions in the cranial sutures to restore proper alignment, open airways, and restore proper brain function.
Dr. Dobrucky provides neurological and breathing assessments to determine if this technique will be a good fit for you!
Spine and Extremity Adjustments
The body is made of up 206 bones interconnected by muscles, ligaments and tendons. When your joints lose their ability to move through their maximum range of motion, it can disrupt the signals that your brain sends to the muscles and muscles to brain. This disruption can lead to decreased range of motion, slower reaction time, and increases your risk of injury. Spine and extremity adjustments can help restore joint function and messaging between the joints and the brain, so that they can move properly in space.
Through muscle and joint assessments, Dr. Dobrucky determines specific areas of dysfunction and utilizes hands-on or tool enhanced chiropractic techniques to restore optimal function.
